Have you ever dreamed of floating into the sky with a giant bouquet of colorful toy balloons? That's the idea behind cluster ballooning. The pilot wears a harness, to which a cluster of large, helium-filled balloons are attached. Control is achieved by releasing ballast to ascend, or by bursting balloons to descend.

In this flight I learned that it's hard to break a world record if no one will tell you what category you're competing in. However, I did get to be filmed for the Extreme Machines series on TLC, and my balloons took me to an amazing 21,400 feet (soit 6505m) , high enough to need bottled oxygen and special permission from Air Traffic Control
