mais voila un avis (in inglish ... from harmony-central.com )
Sound
Perceived output level: I installed the Control X which helps balance the output with the magnetic. I tend to get more output then my standard acoustic setup - Larrivee with B Band
Tone: Very nicely balanced up and down the range. it may be a bit weaker in the higher registers but very adequate
Sonic evaluation: I play this live through a soundboard with effects foot pedal controls. These can be a Digitech GNX#, Zoom 3000, Zoom 504 and 505. Granted this is not the best arrangement and would prefer an amp but you do what you have to do. I switch frequently between electric and acoustic sounds and wanted to add the acoustic ability to my electric. I assumed it would be a bit thin sounding but hoped it would be better then trying to make the magentic pickups sound like an acoustic. I chose the semi-hollow body hoping it would add a touch of natural woodiness to the tone. The end result is phenomonal. I seldom bring my Larrivee along anymore. Many people have said they like the sound better then the Larrivee. Ouch! I don't know if it is the hollow body approach or the diference between LR Baggs and Fishman, but the tone is leaps better then any Parker Fly I owned. It offers a very full bass and clear treble with all the nuances of an acoustic - string squeak, dynamic control, airy sound. I bought the parts and installed them myself. (Baggs was very helpful and patient with an amateur, though they state very clearly that all warranties are voided unless installed by a technician). Thewiring and general install was very simple. Re-fitting a semi-hollow body and working through the 'F' holes was tricky. I had to drill 3 holes through the guitar face to handle the controls and one opening through the back to handle the battery access case. But the unit itself was fairly direct and simple.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: My style ranges from classic rock to some 50's stuff. I also do a good bit of folk, finger-style to classical guitar and some bluegrass. This doesn't fit all styles but is very versatile. I still use my classical guitar for classical work but in a pinch it holds its own.
Overall Rating
Comments: If the guitar were stolen I would definately replace the T-Bridge. The guitar itself is decent and since this was an experiment on my part I didn't want to shell out the big bucks on a Gibson and end up ruining it. Now I regret not basing this off a nicer guitar. I am a Gibson double hum type player and am thrilled to see Baggs has developed such a nice system to match up with that arrangement.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this pickup a: 10 Fantastic value
