Total snowdays: 67
Day #67 - Snowbird
May 4, 2008
Another fun day at the bird in search of corn with Mike. hike the twin peaks then poked around trying to find good faces
before dropping back to the white pine parking lot. Sunny, mellow and fun.
Day #66 - Snowbird
April 25, 2008
Wow! Just what I was waiting for. Sweet powder, blue skies and a fairly empty resort... This season is NOT over yet!
Too many face shots to count again today on a smooth riding board.
Day #65 - Snowbird
April 17, 2008
Sunny, some freshies.. Just a few runs to make sure the snow was still white. Kinda fun but a little on the dust on crust
side. Should be better tomorrow!
Day #64 - Snowbird
April 11, 2008
What a day!!! Great spring powder. Plenty of face shots, an empty resort. Would have been perfect if the car had not
died on the way up!!! Nothing some hitchhiking can';t fix though
Day #63 - Mt Superior / Suicide chute
March 26, 2008
Fun little dawn patrol with Mike and Marco. Hiked Suicide from the road. 2 hours of hellish bootpacking in a crappy
snowpack but some good riding back down under the blue skies and the rising sun. Yeah another fun morning
Day #62 - Snowbird
March 23, 2008
Skied like a carving fool in the morning sun before hiking the twins and dropping in the tri-chutes with Mike. Fun stuff.
Good spring corn on the sunny aspects and old powder in the trees...
Day #61 - Snowbird
March 22, 2008
Some decent riding turning into a fun day drinking beer with friends while watching the Snowbird Nationals on Baldy.
Great day.. .Too much sun
Day #60 - Deer Valley
March 20, 2008
Ha. Deer Valley! Very fun seeing the resort with some snow on it. Got the full tour of the place by Andrew. Lots of
potential for a big storm day. Trees and powder patches everywhere. Mostly dust on crust today but some fun runs and
a scary fall in the chutes. way to start to day!
Day #59 - Snowbird
March 16, 2008
How redeeming. A awesome morning at the bird with a great run into Whitepine from the Bday chutes... Entirely
untracked. Blower snow and faceshots... WOW!
Day #58 - Snowbird
March 15, 2008
Hum.. Too late, too warm.. quote a change from yesterday. Still an ok day but should have been better
Day #57 - Snowbird
March 14, 2008
Unreal.. A low expectation morning that turned out to be mind blowing. Mostly rode Baldy. Fresh tracks over and over,
face shots, stomped cliffs and an ear to ear smile. WOW.
Day #56 - Alta
March 11, 2008
Some fun carving and a slalom from the town series... I blew across a gate.. i suck
Better luck next time!
Day #55 - Snowbird
March 9, 2008
Back to Snowbird. Fun mellow day. Resort was really tracked out but still some nice pockets of fluffy stuff to be found.
Nice to be back
Day #54 - Sapporo Kokusai, Japan
March 3, 2008
One last day of riding before heading back to Tokyo. Snow really warmed up. spend a good part of the day helping
Xavier and Antoine build and ride a kick into a big pillow. Very fun to see these guys do their thing and a good sunny
day to finish this trip to Hokkaido
Day #53 - Sapporo Kokusai, Japan.
March 2, 2008
Ok this is what I'm looking for! Faceshots.. more face shots... Good. Still the same group: G, Mathieur, Xav and
Antoine. Really a great time with a lot of hiking from getting too greedy and skiing too far down in an unknown resort.

Day #52 - Sappora Teine Highland, Japan
March 29, 2008
More snow!!!! Some very fun runs in one of the resorts from the Sapporo 72 Olympics. Many powder runs with G, Mat,
Antoine and Xavier. This is finally getting good! And it keeps on snowing!

Day #51 - Sapporo kokusai, Japan
February 28, 2008
Neat. Fun snowboarding with G and MAthieu. Fairly heavy snow but untracked powder equaled great fun. Some nice
lines, plenty of pillows and virtually nobody off the groomers!!! Sweet! I like Japan
Day #50 - Furano BC, Japan
February 27, 2008
Another day.. more travel. The guide the crew hired told us to go further south. We hit some BC on the way to
Sapporo. Hike, hit pillows lines, move on to another spot. Repeat. We play while the pros do their thing. Time to hit the
resorts tomorrow!

Day #49 - Asahidake, Japan
February 26, 2008
Tram closed... Too much wind. Time to hike! 30 cm overnight. Got many sweet pillows before joining the Quebec/
French crew.

Day #48 - Asahidake, Japan
February 25, 2008
First day in Japan!
Loads of snow on the ground but everything is pretty hard and wind blown on the upper (better part) on the mountain...
More snow on the way though. We:ll see
Day #47 - Snowbird
February 22, 2008
How to have 8" of fresh snow and turn it into a shit day? Forget you board at home, rent one from Christies at Snowbird
and realize they are renting pure garbage. Worst board I EVER rode. Shot edges, completely dead feel from a
probably blown core, crap bindings... Oh well. Still scored some good turns down Baldy
Day #46 - LCC White Pine
February 20, 2008
Dawn patrol with Libby. Skinned up Scotty's bowl. still some good untouched snow to be found but it's getting heavy! I
skied like poo too. Still a lot of fun and a great way to start the day!
Day #45 - Snowbird
February 19, 2008
Fun little afternoon. Met Francois from skipass and spend most of the time in the tigertail / scottys area. Stille some
powder patvches to be found. Next storm tomorrow?
Day #44 - Snowbird
February 14, 2008
Some new snow!! 12" in the yard... only 6" at the Bird? That did not compute. Had to go check. Good move as it was
really really fun. Some dust on crust but many great faces to ride and enjoy. Launched a bunch of stuff. Pancaked at
the bottom of the notch... Good times...
Day #43 - Snowbird
February 13, 2008
More carving... Yeah I am somewhat ashamed especially considering that the wind turned many faces into sweet
cream. More snow on the way today!! Had a lot of fun though except for the fact that I forgot my jacket and
consequently froze my ass.
Day #42 - Alta
February 12, 2008
Another fun morning at Alta. Went to the town series to get my ass handed to me.. again... Then skied mostly on the
groomers like a carving fool from the east coast. Snow actually did not suck (as long as you stay well clear from
anything south facing).
Day #41 - Snowbird
February 10, 2008
Heaaaaavy snow.. 40F eat the base!.... but blue skies, some fast snow and fun runs... Fun to see people huck their
meat for the "North Face Masters" on Baldy. Not a very homogeneous group of competitors but some true talents!!
Day #40 - Powder Mountain.
February 9, 2008
Finally another day. Temperatures really warmed up though. Checked out PM with Laurent and JP visiting from Paris.
Somewhat fun but very very flat with awfully slow lifts. Not a top choice but some fun lines spread out over the
mountain.
Day #39 - Alta
February 5, 2008
Blue sky.. Fresh powder.. Started the day on the Alta town series to show myself how much I suck at slalom. I think I
am scared of bamboo Continued the day with sweet powder runs going back and forth between Alta and the Bird..
Another score...
Day #38 - Alpes D'Huez
February 3, 2008
Another great say with the same crew exploring the resort hitting some 6000+ feet vert runs! Not much time though.
Gone by 1 PM but overall a wonderful sunny morning. Too bad I missed THE day at the Bird though!
ride-it.net
Day #37 - Alpes D'Huez
February 2, 2008
A quickie a l'Alpes d'Huez with a good crew: Mich, Ced, Simon,... Great day! 30cm of freshies overnight on a
somewhat shallow snowpack. Lots of fun. Scared myself starting a foot deep slab that ran down some ways but without
me.. Ya Im dumb.. Beacon was in the car
Day #36 - Snowbird
January 25, 2008
Another day... More snow, more turns, more spins, more fun
Day #35 - Snowbird
January 23, 2008
Bluebird in a completed deserted resort. I guess people ran out of sick days... Sweeeet! Some good mellow runs on
the board, a nice hike all the way to the top of Baldy as it finally opened, a amazing untouched deep powder run, a
smile going from ear to ear... I could live on that!
Day #34 - Alta
January 22, 2008
Got up early for Alta town series. Kinda of bummed about it. No practice time and a much too mellow course (on which
I probably sucked anyway). Got the Ravens out right afterward to rip some good powder lines in a full bluebird day.
yeah.
Day #33 - Snowbird
January 21, 2008
Retarded day. 10" in the yard.. 16" at the bird. Face shot after face shot on the M1111. A slightly battered knee from
some rocky love and many gaper moves such as getting cliffed out in upper Peruvian... Great day. That's how we
celebrate MLK in Utah!
Day #32 - Snowbird
January 19, 2008
Mellow snowboarding day prior to a high level of drunkness. Mostly some jibby stuff and some high baldys.
Day #31 - Snowbird
January 18, 2008
Another chill day at the bird. Played around on my board. Still some good fluffy lines to be had everywhere.
Day #30 - Whitepine BC
January 17, 2008
Dawn patrol with Libby. Skinned up scotty's bowl. Had to break trail. Learnt that I really suck at it... Put in the funniest
skintrack ever.. Whoever followed it this weekend probably hated me
Day #29 - Snowbird
January 16, 2008
Bottomless 5" day. Love this. Low expectations and high rewards.
Day #28 - Snowbird
January 13, 2008
Some foggy skies with a few blue patches but another 4" overnight made for some super fun runs. Learning to spin my
skis again with Mike and Matt. Mats on the crew again leading the hucks. First time dropping death chute on skis. My
face is burned and I'm stocked.

Day #27 - Snowbird
January 12, 2008
A perfect day... good friends, good snow, good moves, good party, good tubing, good buzz. and yes we had 16 more
inches and the skies were blue.
Day #26 - Snowbird
January 9, 2008
After a morning taking my GMAT (700 ) I scored some sick runs at the Bird!!
Solo session, puking snow, 23" of fresh new stuff on the ground. Explosive release of stress in a full white out equaled
retarded untouched lines and sick (and scary) times. Yeah it was THAT good!
Day #25 - Snowbird
January 7, 2008
Mellow day at Snowbird snowboarding with Mats, Marc and Andrew. Spinning and poping off anything top to bottom.
Still great bottomless powder to be found. Whole cirque avied out. Huge crown. Never seen it like that before. Amazing.
Day #24 - Alta
January 6, 2008
Storm day! Good skiing with Craig, Connie and crew. 12" of fluff on top of 17" of cement... Good times but super high
avy danger. Not much opened.
Day #23 - Solitude BC
January 2, 2008
Good skinning morning sesh with Dave and friends...
Snow still good where kept away from the sun and the wind. Perfect way to start a day...
ride-it.net

Many first tracks in Mineral. My shins hurt bad.
Good day
Day #20 - Snowbird
December 30, 2007
A foot? 2 Feet? Who knows... It was deep.. bottomless deep. Played in the trees over gadzoom as all the upper side
and Pgulch were closed... Yeah tomorrow should be epic.

Fun day riding with Aaron. Chips over and over. Still need my legs back.
Day #15 - Snowbird

some good cliffs I had never seen before over Gad II. Fun fun fun.

Good one. Blue bird. 36 inches (90cm) in 3 days. Freshies down Baldy were out of hand. First day on the Jones. Good
